Highlights of the first day:

  • The first passengers had me waiting for two hours

  • A flight with 11 persons on board (the plane has only seven seats for passengers). Two kids per seat.

  • 32 passengers transported. All flights were related to schooling, what is encouraging! The flights were for the opening of a new school and the transporting of children to school.

  • The work of a cycle of sweating-cooling that continues the whole day. Sweating when weighing and boarding passengers and doing paperwork. Cooling down after we have arrived at altitude. After 10-50 minutes sweating again with the next load. On short sectors the shirt does not get dry.

  • With every passengers I have to humbly ask whether they can spell their name, because I really cannot figure it out. Djarrga, Neiisa, Marika, Mununyapi, Gurungarr or Marrawili. We have to have a first and last name for the manifest that stays behind at the point of departure.
