The flight this morning is serving the church. At Elcho Island, a small community at about 20 minutes flying distance, a church council meeting will be held. Helen and Ruth are two elders of the church in Milingimbi and they have to attend this meeting.

Peter comes along too. Peter is studying to be an Aboriginal minister, together with his wife Melissa and their son Bobby. The names that I use here are the 'English' names that they have taken upon themselves. Their real names are Milmindjarrk, Ngamalkurra and Rirripangan.

The church council meeting takes place this weekend. During the weekend, there is also a commissioning service for a number of Aboriginals that have completed a bible school. VH-MQR brings them to this special happening.

In 2013, MAF bought five GA8-Airvans that came out of a bankruptcy. Supporters in The Netherlands financed three Airvans. Two of them are flying in Papua New Guinea and the third one flies in Arnhem Land since November 2014: VH-MQR.
